About me...
I came to SEBC in 1976 and graduated in 1980. It was a terrific experience. Dave Beverage and I were roommates my sophomore year in Timothy Dorm. Bruce Ellsworth and I roomed at Timothy my Junior year. Chris Shepherd and I roomed together my senior year off campus at the apts across the street from the school.
I remember runs to Bogues restaurant for sweet rolls after chapel; and great views of the city at Argyle; craziness of life in the dorm; challenging times in Mr. Langford's class; inspiring times with Miss Helen; and many unforgettable moments with friends and professors.
After I graduated SEBC, I became an Associate Pastor at Bible Center Church in Luling, LA near New Orleans. It was an incredible 4 years I'll always cherish. Then I went back to SEBC where I served for 12 years as Director of Admissions. What a great time! That's where I met my wife, Christi. She was a student at the time :) She's an awesome partner, friend and wife. God has blessed us with 3 children: David (16), Kristen (12), and Anna (7).
I've been working at Hunter Systems in B'ham for the last 12 years. There are 9 SEBC alums that work here!
God has also given me the opportunity to be on the Board of Trustees at SEBC for the last 9 years. And we worship at Shades Mtn Independent Church, which we love.

We spent 11 years in Honduras, then I went to seminary for two years, then we went with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, where we came to Ecuador as church planters. We have been here for over 10 years now.
At nine years, I guess we are getting close to another lease renegotiation as well even though it seems like we just did it. Maybe our first lease was a 7 year deal...
Colonial was real good to us on resigning as they alloted us a pretty good bit of "improvement" money to fix some things here and there. i doubt we used it all and the new carpet squares in the lobby are already coming up -- strange!!
Ming's is one of our favorite places to eat so you will apparently be right there!!
It's funny, ironic, that when we originally signed the lease here, we signed up for 2/3 of the 5th floor as the first lease for the office building. Then Hunter Systems came around and wanted the whole 5th floor so we were asked to move and we would only accept the first floor so someone else had to move!! We now take up almost the whole 1st floor.
We'll have to do lunch some time for the fun of it!!
