I love these testimonies of how God led us to Southeastern, and mine, like several others, involves the witness and ministry of SBC students. I sporadically attended a small mission church where several Southeastern students ministered. Priscilla ...

So sorry I have not responded. I don't visit this site too much. The surgery went fantastic. The new anterior approach to hip replacement is THE WAY TO GO. The hospital stay was the best I've had in years. The whole experience was so God ordained! I am walking fine now. Have even been to most all the Auburn games this year.
Is it still winter there, or is spring at least trying to come? Here in Guatemala, it's spring-like weather almost all year around. We only have two basic seasons: wet season and dry season. In the highlands where we live, the temp. never really gets higher than 90-95 and never colder than 40. Great place to live, but I do miss the four seasons.
It was great to hear back from you. Please tell Susan and Ken hello for me. I am glad they are doing well. I got to visit with Angel and Carol Ribo a few weeks ago. I had signed up on Facebook for work and they contacted me. It happened they were coming back from Canada and were landing in Shreveport in that same week to drive back to Longview, TX, where they live. I met them for lunch and we got to catch up. They seem to be doing great and have an unbelievable story about their lives after SBC. It is so amazing to me how God uses things that we would not see as positive for His glory. If you are ever near Shreveport let me know. I would love to visit.
Polly - it was so great to see your name on the SBC website. I have thought about you and Susan Haire so often and hoped that all was well with you both. It seems so long ago that we were fresh out of school and teaching at Grawood. Now you are in Minnesota and I assume she is still in California. Believe it or not, I am still in Shreveport, LA, but I am not teaching school. I am married and have one daughter who is a sophomore in college. I would love to hear from you.
Hi Polly!
Sorry to be so long in answering but I didn't realize I even had a note from you! I don't check this site all that often. I've been trying to figure out Facebook and confirming friends on that. Retirement is really good, but also has some "moments" that I could do without. Having Jay home 24/7 is like having a boss again! He tries, bless his heart, but I think it's that Y chromosome thing! Anyway, we are doing OK, both have some health issues. And as to your comment - how'd we get this old? Who knows! I just woke up one morning and I'm old! Go figure. If I can figure it out, I'll try to get a picture on this thing. Of course, you look slim & trim as you were at SBC, and we both have gained a bunch of weight. Oh, well! (sigh). Take care!
Hi, Polly! Thanks for leaving the note for me. It's great to 'meet' a fellow-Minnesotan who also shares my Alma Mater! I married a Midwesterner (originally from Iowa and later from Prior Lake MN) about 10 years ago and 6 years ago his dad began having some serious health problems so we moved here to be closer to his parents. Gratefully his dad's health has stabilized and he's doing very well. We live in Apple Valley and I work in Bloomington (France & 494). We don't have any other family in Minnesota, but we do have a cabin up north of Grand Rapids that we enjoy an awful lot in the summer!
I've done really well as a life-long Florida girl up here in this deep freeze -- especially in the last couple of years, and I love Minnesota. I just wish it was a little closer to the rest of my family -- all in Florida or California!
Thanks again for the note! Maybe we'll run into each other for real some day!
That smile belongs to my adorable granddaughter Skylar Michelle! She's almost 4 now. I live in Indianapolis, IN - have for a little over a year. I love it here! Am actively involved in a church plant - Harvest Bible Chapel North Indianapolis. I love it. Attend small group with about 5 single gals - and we are so-o close. The name of our cirruculum this quarter is discipleship. How God is growing me through His Word these days. Keep in touch!
It was so-o good to find this website! Sandi Harris (Wickes) told me about it. I have so-o many good memories of the 1 year I attended SEBC. I keep in touch with Sandi - and also Susan Ponder (Vandergriff). Would love to hear from you - what you've been doing for the last 35 years or so. In Christ, Joyce FAsig
