My years after SEBC
After graduation in 2000 I worked at the King’s Ranch & Hannah Home. In 2002 I came back to Gadsden, kicking and screaming. Ok, so Itwasn't that bad but I was not happy about comeing back to Gadsden. The only good thing about moving back home was my VERY BESTEST friend was still liveing here. It was her that got me to go on a blind date, but I thank God for her. If she had listened to me I would not have met my now loving husband, Mike. Funny story, you will have to ask him to tell you some day. He tells it much better then I.
We have one child, Joshua Mitchell Evans that is in heaven. His web page is "http://joshua-evans.memory-of.com" please feel free to read about him and light a candle or you may leave messages and memories about Josh. We love and miss him so much.
I now work at the Center for Cultural Arts (www.culturalarts.org). I have been the receptionist now for six years and love it.
Mike and I are a part of a new church plant in the Gadsden area, EdgeWater Church. As of right now we are meeting at the campus of Gadsden State. We all call it the "church - n - box"
I am so glad the Jenny created us a social network for us. I don't do myspace but I am trying to figer out facebook. THANKS Jenny :D

Thanks for your prayers. They are still needed very much. I'm trying to focus on the character of God in all this. He is GOOD!

Thanks for your prayers and the e mail for your friend. I will e mail her for any advice she can give. I just got back from the grocery store buying liquids for him. He seems to be doing well tonight.

Just wondering if you can send me your email address so I can email you my latest update? Thanks.
Love,

Thanks so much for your kind & encouraging words! I am continually amazed how God is able to use me, often in spite of myself. =) I'm just so thankful for His grace. Looking forward to a really BIG reunion in Heaven where we can all tell our stories & praise His name! =)
Love,

As for me, there's not much to report as far as activities. I've been really sick for almost the last 4 years. I finally got approved for disability in June. Still working on finding answers and appropriate treatment. The latest is that I have pesticide poisoning, probably from growing up in Colombia. So now i've got to start a treatment to detox, which will take months, maybe a couple years. It's hard to say. I've had to surrender so much of my life to God...still not 100% though, not sure that's humanly possible. Anyway, sorry this is turning into a book. =) I'm learning, growing, being transformed by God's power and grace. Otherwise, not much happening.
Oh, the little guy in my profile pic is an MK in Mexico. When I was there for 2 years after college I helped out in the MK school. They were doing a play and he was the prince. So I had my picture with him as my 'prince charming.' =) He's probably in jr high by now. Hope he's not embarased if he sees this picture. =)
Ok, all for now. Take care!
-Joanna
