I loved my time at SBC in 1980. Enrolled in January 1980. Returned for Fall Semester. Then could not return. I can still remember how beautiful the lights of Birmingham looked at night. Was in Choral group that performed Rainbow Connection and Ame...

About me...
I attended sebc at the Southside campus from Fall '81 to Christmas '82 and then came back part-time in '02 and '03. After I left SEBC I joined the Montgomery, AL Police Department, got married, we had kids and then "retired" in '04. My wife and I are now MSC Missionaries with the SBC North American Mission Board and I serve as the director of Calvary Campus in Letcher, KY. Calvary Campus is a Christian camp/conference/retreat center and community family life center here in the Appalachian Mountains. We also host mission teams both here on campus and out in the community for construction and renovation work and ministry events, etc. I would love to hear from folks who were at SEBC during or around the same time I was. Our ministry website is www.CalvaryCampus.org and our family blog is listed below.
Wow, time flies!!!! It looks like all is going well and you have a beautiful family. It seems that you have found your passion in your ministry. Keep on keeping on!
Hi! Yes we worked at Shocco Springs. I'm not sure I remember exactly where we would have met. It has been over 25 yrs. ago. Sounds like things are going well for you. God has been good to our family. Beth
Jamie,
It's great to hear from you. I was trying to remember where you were calling home the last time you were here. How long have you been in Kentucky? It sounds like you have a good ministry there. You have a nice-looking family. I'll be praying for you as you help your son decide on college. Keep in touch, and if you ever make it to Birmingham, I would love to see you.
